My name is David Binns. I began working out three years ago and while I was able to lose weight, I still lacked tone. I began lifting but only showed very small results after a year. Since I have started training with Armen, I have gained about 8 lbs of muscle in a short 3 months. I have more energy, better stamina, and my workout regimen has improved as well to be more rounded. These are things that I tried to do myself by reading books on the subject but that I am now convinced only comes with years experience and an extended education in training. These are both things that Armen possesses and has used to guide me to very favorable results. Using his advice I have improved my diet, and focused on foods that help burn fat and build muscle. My workouts have reached new levels with him pushing me to attain the best results. Armen has also helped me to create a workout schedule for the whole week, not just at personal training. I would recommend personal training to anyone who wants fast results that last.

Oh, to Be Young Again!

Tips to feel years younger.

You may be over the hill. You may feel your reflexes slowing down. The effects of aging may be showing up in your hair and face. But you don’t have to let Father Time win. Not in your mind. After all, you’re only as old as you feel. Why not use your mind to feel like a young buck?

While you may not be able to run a marathon, stay up all night, or junk food without putting on pounds, there are ways to foster the feeling of being young again. Intrigued? Then you better do the following every day.

Stay Young with Exercise

Want to feel younger, stronger, and more energized? It’s not happening without regular exercise. Even if you just go for a walk around your neighborhood, moving your body is essential. It builds muscle tone, strengthens your bones, improves your mood, prevents all kinds of diseases, helps you sleep better at night, and builds your self-confidence. In other words, you feel young again! Find an exercise you enjoy, and you’ll be more likely to stick with it.

Keep Learning

You hated school as a child, but there are all sorts of things you wish you knew. Whether you want to learn a new language or sharpen your cooking skills, it’s never too late to go back to school. Learning new things is a great way to keep your mind sharp. At the same time, learning gives you a sense of accomplishment and—if you take classes with others, you get to socialize. Many colleges and universities offer free or discounted classes to senior citizens. There are also a variety of online classes available to take. Take advantage and start learning. You’ll feel young and excited about life once again!

Listen to Music

Music is a powerful force. A few notes of a song, and you’re instantly transported back in time. Want to remember the old days? Turn on some music from when you were young. You’ll be amazed at how many lyrics you still remember. Do this when you’re feeling low on energy. The good memories will perk you up.

Crank the upbeat tunes for some added pep to your step.

Get on Your Hobby Horse

In years past, you didn’t have time for a hobby. That’s changed. So pick up where you left off or learn something new. Hobbies are a great way to stay productive, enjoy your time, and give back. Knitting, watercoloring, playing guitar, birdwatching, and woodworking are great choices. They’ll give you the same accomplishment as learning, helping you stay young forever.

Spend Time with Young People

Being around people your age all the time can make you feel old. Get away from old folks and spend time with the younger generation. Babysit your grandkids, volunteer at a local school, or invite the neighbor kids over for cookies and hot chocolate. Play a game together, tell stories, or do a craft. Their youthful passions will infect you, filling you with energy you didn’t realize you had.

Eat Healthily

Junk food can slow you down and make you feel older than you are. Leave the trash for someone else. Instead, nourish your body with a balanced diet of protein, fiber, complex carbs, and healthy fats. You’ll feel stronger, have more energy, and lose excess weight.

(Re)connect with Friends

Spending time with friends, whether you’ve known them for 30 minutes or 30 years, will help you feel young at heart. Humans are social creatures. Without meaningful interactions, loneliness sets in. Create new memories or remember the old ones together. Whether you text, call, or have lunch together, reach out to a friend today.
