Finish Fit boot camp has demonstrated to me that I am VERY capable of pushing my body to its limits. Prior to starting the class I was nervous because it had been a really long time since I had been physically active. With Finish Fit I am now 5 pounds away from my pre-baby weight, something I had been trying to lose for two years! Thanks Lauren, Brett and Armen for helping me lose 10 pounds in four weeks!

David Binns
My name is David Binns. I began working out three years ago and while I was able to lose weight, I still lacked tone. I began lifting but only showed very small results after a year. Since I have started training with Armen, I have gained about 8 lbs of muscle in a short 3 months. I have more energy, better stamina, and my workout regimen has improved as well to be more rounded. These are things that I tried to do myself by reading books on the subject but that I am now convinced only comes with years experience and an extended education in training. These are both things that Armen possesses and has used to guide me to very favorable results. Using his advice I have improved my diet, and focused on foods that help burn fat and build muscle. My workouts have reached new levels with him pushing me to attain the best results. Armen has also helped me to create a workout schedule for the whole week, not just at personal training. I would recommend personal training to anyone who wants fast results that last.

Rebuilding Your Marriage

Save a failing marriage with counseling.

You promised to love and to cherish, to have and to hold, as long as you both shall live. But then something happened. You and your spouse started to grow apart and you didn’t do anything to stop it. You soon learned that young love doesn’t last forever. And making a marriage work for the long run is never easy. It’s hard work.

Because of this, an estimated 50 percent of marriages end in divorce, but you don’t have to be a statistic. If you’re willing to put in the work, you can avoid one of life’s most stressful events, protect your children, and ultimately salvage your failing marriage. But you may not be able to do it alone.

Counseling can be highly effective at helping a couple work through the problems in their marriage. In fact, even the best marriages can benefit from professional counseling. Here are a few things counseling can address to help your marriage get back on track and stay there for the long haul.

Ships Passing in the Night

You feel distant from your spouse. The two of you rarely talk about things that matter and you don’t connect like you once did. Often called co-existing, it’s like you’re simply living together in the same space without really sharing your lives. This may be due to busy schedules, a lack of communication, hurt feelings, or a host of other reasons. A therapist can help you work through the underlying causes and teach you ways to reconnect.

Negative Patterns of Communication

A mean word here and a sarcastic comment there can turn into negative patterns of communication. When one or both people in a marriage continually say hurtful things, it leaves the other partner feeling unloved, insecure, unwanted, and angry. Sometimes it’s not the words that are said, but the tone that’s used. Over time everything becomes an argument and an opportunity to assert opinions, belittle the other person, and cut down.

In some marriages, nonverbal communication is the problem. Body language, not saying what needs to be said, silent treatment, and neglect are all forms of communication. Negative patterns of verbal and non-verbal communication can be addressed with marital counseling.

“Irreconcilable” Differences

Conflict in any relationship is inevitable. There’s bound to be disagreement between two people who live in the same space and who have different opinions, feelings, and experiences. You’ve tried to work through your conflicts, but maybe one side isn’t willing to budge. There’s a lack of forgiveness, compromise, or understanding. When this happens, seek help before the conflict goes on too long.

Financial Disagreements

Money is at the root of many marital problems. Whether debt, irresponsible spending, secret spending, control, split bank accounts, or disagreements over the use of money, financial issues can be highly touchy and awkward to discuss. A marriage counselor can help clients learn how to effectively communicate about money and work through their financial problems.

After an affair or when a spouse is tempted to have an affair, a marriage is likely near its breaking point. But with a lot of work, commitment from both sides, and forgiveness, healing is possible. A therapist can help a couple deal with trust issues, underlying problems, and how to move forward in reconciliation. Doing so is very difficult, but it is possible.

Another reason couples should seek counseling is for specific problems such as addiction. Drugs, alcohol, pornography, and gambling are common addictions that ruin relationships and tear families apart. Additional therapy to overcome an addiction is usually needed in addition to marriage counseling.
