Finish Fit boot camp has demonstrated to me that I am VERY capable of pushing my body to its limits. Prior to starting the class I was nervous because it had been a really long time since I had been physically active. With Finish Fit I am now 5 pounds away from my pre-baby weight, something I had been trying to lose for two years! Thanks Lauren, Brett and Armen for helping me lose 10 pounds in four weeks!

David Binns
My name is David Binns. I began working out three years ago and while I was able to lose weight, I still lacked tone. I began lifting but only showed very small results after a year. Since I have started training with Armen, I have gained about 8 lbs of muscle in a short 3 months. I have more energy, better stamina, and my workout regimen has improved as well to be more rounded. These are things that I tried to do myself by reading books on the subject but that I am now convinced only comes with years experience and an extended education in training. These are both things that Armen possesses and has used to guide me to very favorable results. Using his advice I have improved my diet, and focused on foods that help burn fat and build muscle. My workouts have reached new levels with him pushing me to attain the best results. Armen has also helped me to create a workout schedule for the whole week, not just at personal training. I would recommend personal training to anyone who wants fast results that last.

Out of the Fridge, Into Life

How baking soda can make your life better.

In life, there are few constants. For many people, a box of baking soda in the refrigerator is one of them. While you may have it in there because your parents kept one in there, too, you may not know just how powerful that white, powdery substance is. (Hint: It’s not just for baking.)
If you’re ready to unlock the hidden secrets that baking soda holds, keep reading. Just be careful—you may become baking soda obsessed!

Odor Control: If you know something about baking soda, it’s probably that it is great at absorbing unwanted odors. In addition to the fact that baking soda keeps food fresh, odor control is why many people keep it in the refrigerator. But baking soda doesn’t need to be stuck in the fridge. You can sprinkle it inside stinky shoes, toss a bowl of it inside a smelly closet, or toss it pretty much anywhere that could benefit from smelling better. And if you want your clean clothes to smell even cleaner, add a bit of baking soda to your laundry during the rinse cycle. Speaking of clean…

Cleaning: As you walk through your house, look around. See something that could use a good cleaning? Baking soda can probably help. Add a little baking soda to your mop water, scrub scuffs off walls or floors with a sponge soaked in baking soda and water, lift that dog smell from your carpets by sprinkling baking soda before vacuuming, and use baking soda as your cleaning agent throughout the bathroom. Then use baking soda to put the sparkle back in your favorite stained coffee mug, those baby bottles, and the filthy garbage can you’re afraid to touch.

Beauty: You know that baking soda is often used to whiten your teeth. You may even know that you can toss a bit of baking soda into your shampoo for even cleaner hair. However, that knowledge may not prepare you for the fact that you can exfoliate your skin with baking soda. No, this is not a joke! All you have to do is mix one part water for three parts of baking soda and scrub away! Want to stretch your baking soda even further? Scrub it into your nails to help them have a healthy natural shine.

Health: Still have some of that mixture you whipped up to exfoliate your skin? Apply some of it to your skin to get relief from an insect bite or sting. You can also stir in a bit of baking soda in your drinking water to fend off feelings of indigestion. Just don’t give it to kids or take it if you’ve taken other medication recently, as it may result in an interaction.

Miscellaneous: At this point, you may ready to get another container of baking soda. Well, make it an extra large one, because there are tons of other random things baking soda has been found useful for doing.

Have ants invading your home? Mix up some baking soda and salt and spread it wherever the offenders are entering. Then toss some baking soda into your flower vases to keep your anniversary flowers fresh for longer. And if you have a little one with a sore, red backside from diaper rash, call baking soda to come to the rescue! Simply add a quarter cup of baking soda to the bath water, and bath time should bring significant relief to your baby’s bottom.
