My name is David Binns. I began working out three years ago and while I was able to lose weight, I still lacked tone. I began lifting but only showed very small results after a year. Since I have started training with Armen, I have gained about 8 lbs of muscle in a short 3 months. I have more energy, better stamina, and my workout regimen has improved as well to be more rounded. These are things that I tried to do myself by reading books on the subject but that I am now convinced only comes with years experience and an extended education in training. These are both things that Armen possesses and has used to guide me to very favorable results. Using his advice I have improved my diet, and focused on foods that help burn fat and build muscle. My workouts have reached new levels with him pushing me to attain the best results. Armen has also helped me to create a workout schedule for the whole week, not just at personal training. I would recommend personal training to anyone who wants fast results that last.

Don’t Believe Every COVID “Fact” You Hear

When it comes to COVID-19, myths and rumors abound.

The spread of the novel coronavirus known as COVID-19 has turned the world as you know it upside down. Just a short time ago, no one had heard of COVID-19, now it’s the only thing people talk about. No matter where you look for news, you’re guaranteed a host of new COVID-19 stories every time.

But like all news, you’ve got to check your sources when researching COVID-19. As you should expect, there are a lot of rumors and myths surrounding this feared virus. And since it’s so new, there’s still much to be learned about it’s transmission, behavior, symptoms, treatment, and prevention.

While there is much left to learn about COVID-19, certain statements being passed off as fact are in fact fiction. Here are a few of them.

Myth #1: A vaccine against pneumonia can protect you from COVID-19.
Fact: There are no vaccines available to protect you from COVID-19. Each virus requires its own specific vaccine. Currently, scientists are working to develop an effective vaccine to help prevent the spread of the virus. It may take months before a vaccine is available, but hope is on the horizon.

Myth #2: COVID-19 is less likely to spread in hot and humid climates.
Fact: COVID-19 can be transmitted in all types of climates, whether hot, humid, cold, or snowy. Wherever you live, take steps to avoid transmission of the virus.

Myth #3: COVID-19 can be spread through mosquito bites.
Fact: There is no evidence that the new coronavirus can be carried and transmitted by mosquitoes. The virus is spread through respiratory droplets from an infected person. If those droplets enter the air through coughing or sneezing and land in your mouth, eyes, or nose or land on a surface you touch and then touch your mouth, nose, or eyes, you can become infected.

Myth #4: Home remedies can help protect you from becoming infected with COVID-19.
Fact: Rinsing your nose with saline, swallowing or gargling with bleach, using essential oils, taking steroids, eating more garlic, drinking a lot of water, taking colloidal silver, gargling with salt water, or taking acetic acid will not help protect you from the new coronavirus. Some of these measures are actually dangerous. The best way to avoid getting COVID-19 is to practice social distancing; frequently wash your hands for 20 seconds; avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth; and avoid people who are sick.

Myth #5: Only older people are at risk for becoming severely ill with COVID-19.
Fact: Anyone at any age can get the virus, but the elderly and those with preexisting conditions such as heart disease, lung disease, asthma, compromised immune systems, and diabetes are at the greatest risk for becoming severely ill. Children may get sick but usually present mild symptoms.

Myth #6: There are medications available to treat the new coronavirus.
Fact: Currently no medications are recommended to treat COVID-19, though treatments are being investigated and tested. Mild symptoms can be relieved at home with medication but severe cases require medical attention.

Myth #7: Wearing a face mask will protect you from being infected with COVID-19.
Fact: Only certain models of professional respirators can protect you from contracting the virus. These are worn by health care workers and aren’t available to the public. Disposable masks aren’t sufficient to prevent transmission of the virus as microscopic droplets can still pass through the mask. Disposable masks worn by sick people can lessen the chances of transmission to others.
