My name is David Binns. I began working out three years ago and while I was able to lose weight, I still lacked tone. I began lifting but only showed very small results after a year. Since I have started training with Armen, I have gained about 8 lbs of muscle in a short 3 months. I have more energy, better stamina, and my workout regimen has improved as well to be more rounded. These are things that I tried to do myself by reading books on the subject but that I am now convinced only comes with years experience and an extended education in training. These are both things that Armen possesses and has used to guide me to very favorable results. Using his advice I have improved my diet, and focused on foods that help burn fat and build muscle. My workouts have reached new levels with him pushing me to attain the best results. Armen has also helped me to create a workout schedule for the whole week, not just at personal training. I would recommend personal training to anyone who wants fast results that last.

Having friends is good for your mental, emotional, and physical health. Don’t believe it? Then you need to read this article.

You may have a few friends or you may have a lot, but hopefully you have someone you call friend. However many friends you have, the quality of your friendships is more important than the quantity. Friends are there in the happy times to celebrate and they’re there for you in the sad times when you need a shoulder to cry on. They’re there to talk to anytime day or night and they’re who you want to hang out with on the weekends.

Research has shown a clear connection between friendships and health. In fact, long-term studies have found that isolation contributes to poor health. Without friends, you’re more likely to feel depressed, lonely, stressed and have unhealthy lifestyle habits.

It may sound bizarre, but you’re more likely to live longer when you have friends. Having friends may actually have a greater effect on longevity than exercise and the same effect as quitting smoking on your long-term health.

One of the reasons having friends helps people live longer is because friendships are an important way of managing stress. Chronic, unmanaged stress leads to a host of medical problems. With a strong social support network to support you through stressful times, your heart and immune system are protected from the negative effects of stress. Being with friends helps you unwind, relax, and have fun. They’re there to listen, encourage, and distract you from the stress in your life.

People without friends are at a much higher risk of having high blood pressure, which puts you at risk for heart disease, heart attack, stroke, and dementia. So for your heart’s sake, befriend someone!

A Healthy Weight

Lonely and depressed people are more likely to be overweight. Carrying excess weight around can lead to type 2 diabetes, heart disease, sleep apnea, kidney disease, high blood pressure, osteoarthritis, and certain kinds of cancer. Without a strong social network you’re more prone to develop unhealthy lifestyle behaviors such as heavy drinking, smoking, eating junk, and not exercising.

The right friends can help motivate you to maintain healthy habits. They may encourage you to eat a healthy diet or to get more exercise. On the other hand, hanging around friends who don’t value healthy habits can influence you to adopt their poor lifestyle choices. This is one reason to choose your friends wisely.

Friendships help give you a sense of purpose and belonging. People with friends report higher self-confidence and greater satisfaction in life. With friends, the world seems like a brighter, safer, and happier place. When you feel good about your life, you’re more motivated to take care of your health by eating right, getting enough exercise, and scheduling regular medical and dental health checkups.

Sharp Mind

Another benefit of friendships is improved brain health. Social connections help protect the brain from the effects of aging. Dementia and forms of cognitive decline are twice as common in lonely people. Interacting with friends keeps the brain stimulated and forms new connections in the brain, both of which helps to keep the mind sharp and your memory intact.
