My name is David Binns. I began working out three years ago and while I was able to lose weight, I still lacked tone. I began lifting but only showed very small results after a year. Since I have started training with Armen, I have gained about 8 lbs of muscle in a short 3 months. I have more energy, better stamina, and my workout regimen has improved as well to be more rounded. These are things that I tried to do myself by reading books on the subject but that I am now convinced only comes with years experience and an extended education in training. These are both things that Armen possesses and has used to guide me to very favorable results. Using his advice I have improved my diet, and focused on foods that help burn fat and build muscle. My workouts have reached new levels with him pushing me to attain the best results. Armen has also helped me to create a workout schedule for the whole week, not just at personal training. I would recommend personal training to anyone who wants fast results that last.

Find Time for Down Time

Make plans to unwind with the family.

Life is busy, and unless you make plans to spend time together as a family, there’s a good chance that family time won’t happen. But remember—quality time spent with your loved ones is never wasted time. One evening a month of “quality” time, however, isn’t going to cut it. It won’t be true quality time unless you go for quantity as well.

Kids, as well as adults, need down time. Stress and anxiety take a toll on your mental and physical health, so families need to set aside time on a regular basis to relax and unwind together. Instead of rushing from one event to the next, spend some time together doing one of these activities.

Game Night

Turn off the screens, put the phones away, and pull out the board games. Set out some snacks and drinks and let each family member take a turn choosing a game for everyone to play together. Play fair and enjoy some friendly competition.

Movie Night

Instead of going out, plan a family movie night. Choose a family-friendly movie that no one has seen. If there are several options, take a vote. Pop some popcorn, get in your pajamas, and curl up on the couch.

Take a Vacation

Everyone needs some time away from the daily routine. When summer break rolls around, make plans to take a vacation. Leave work at the office and find activities that the whole family will enjoy. Involve the kids in planning the activities. Make memories at the lake, in the mountains, at the beach, in your own backyard, or across the globe. Vacations can be as cheap or expensive as your budget allows.

Go to the Park

Get out of the house, out of the office, and into the great outdoors. Take a picnic to a local community park, nearby national park, or playground. Ride bikes or take a walk along a walking path or go on a hike in the woods.

Exercise Together

Instead of sitting around, spend quality time together being active. Go for a bike ride or walk around the neighborhood. Toss the football, shoot some hoops, or throw a Frisbee. Head to a pool or lake to go swimming. The possibilities are as endless as your imagination!

Eat Together

Make family meal time a priority. Whenever everyone is home, sit down together at the table to eat. Turn off the screens and have a conversation about a topic of the day, tell jokes, or talk about your day. The simple act of eating a healthy meal together can be a great way to unwind at the end of a busy day.

Get Creative

Creativity can be a great stress-reliever. Get the family together and do something that gets your creative juices flowing. Paint a canvas, write a story, draw a picture, or make a sculpture out of clay.

Read a Book

Adults and kids of all ages can benefit from reading or hearing a story. Each evening, spend a few minutes reading a book to your kids or telling them a story. The story could be true or made up on the spot. Each person in the family could take turns reading out loud or telling a story.

Reading is also a great addition to bedtime routines. It helps kids relax and quiet down before bed. As kids get older, begin reading them chapter books out loud. Reading one chapter a night may make your kids look forward to bedtime as they wait to hear what happens next in the story.
