Finish Fit boot camp has demonstrated to me that I am VERY capable of pushing my body to its limits. Prior to starting the class I was nervous because it had been a really long time since I had been physically active. With Finish Fit I am now 5 pounds away from my pre-baby weight, something I had been trying to lose for two years! Thanks Lauren, Brett and Armen for helping me lose 10 pounds in four weeks!

Success Stories
David Binns
My name is David Binns. I began working out three years ago and while I was able to lose weight, I still lacked tone. I began lifting but only showed very small results after a year. Since I have started training with Armen, I have gained about 8 lbs of muscle in a short 3 months. I have more energy, better stamina, and my workout regimen has improved as well to be more rounded. These are things that I tried to do myself by reading books on the subject but that I am now convinced only comes with years experience and an extended education in training. These are both things that Armen possesses and has used to guide me to very favorable results. Using his advice I have improved my diet, and focused on foods that help burn fat and build muscle. My workouts have reached new levels with him pushing me to attain the best results. Armen has also helped me to create a workout schedule for the whole week, not just at personal training. I would recommend personal training to anyone who wants fast results that last.

What’s that Smell?

Eight reasons your house smells funky and not fresh.

After you’ve been in your house for a while, you may not notice it. But when you first walk in, your house may have an unpleasant odor. You’ve tried scented candles, air fresheners, or opening the windows for fresh air, but nothing seems to help. Your friends’ homes smell like clean laundry, pumpkin spice, or fresh baked bread. Yours smells musty, stale, or even foul.
What are you doing wrong? What could be the culprit? Keep reading to find out.

Mold

Does your house smell musty? Then mold may be hiding somewhere. Mold likes to grow in damp or wet places. Leaky pipes, unventilated bathrooms, and damp basements all provide ideal environments for mold to grow. Unfortunately, you can’t always see the mold. It may be hiding under the carpet, behind the wallpaper, in the drywall, inside the air ducts, or in the under crawl. If you suspect mold is the problem, call a professional. Mold can be difficult and even dangerous to clean up.

Washing Machine

Odors may be coming from your appliances. Front-loading washing machines are known for mold buildup that causes a musty smell. Watch out, as the fumes can cause allergies, asthma attacks, or irritation to your nose, eyes, throat, or skin. Check your user’s manual for instructions on cleaning the rubber gasket inside your washer. For extra protection, leave the washing machine door open between loads to reduce the growth of mold.

Garbage Disposal

The scraps of food you put down your disposal can lead to bacteria buildup that results in an unpleasant odor. Keep your disposal and drains clean by adding a few ice cubes, a little baking soda, a couple lemon slices, and a teaspoon of bleach down the disposal. Add a few more ice cubes and turn it on. Then run the water for a minute.

Dishwasher

The appliance that cleans your dishes may be responsible for an odor in your home. There’s a filter in the dishwasher in which food particles can get trapped and build up. Regularly remove the filter and clean it out. Run the dishwasher with a bowl of vinegar in the bottom or use special dishwasher cleaning tablets.

Stale Cigarette Smoke

You may not smoke in your home, but perhaps the people who lived there before you did. Smoke can linger in a home for months or even years. The toxic chemicals permeate soft and hard surfaces. Air the home out when you can. Replace old carpet. Clean the walls with a special solution before painting and then paint the walls and ceilings with a primer designed to block odors.

The P-trap

If you ever notice a sewer smell in your basement, it may be caused by a dry P-trap. Water should be kept in the P-trap to block the smells of dangerous sewer gases. Pour or run water down the floor drain on a regular basis to keep this problem from occurring.

Sewer smell coming from your toilets even after flushing and cleaning? The wax ring that seals off the toilet drain may be old and damaged. Replacing the wax ring may resolve the issue.

Carpets

A lot can live in your carpets without you knowing it. Besides dust and dirt, there may be mold, pet dander, pet urine, or pet feces. Over time, odors can build up and fill your home. Keep your carpets smelling fresh by cleaning up immediately after a pet accident, vacuuming once a week, and steam cleaning once a year.
